Bootylicious babe Tanya Singh seems to have it all — good looks, good body, great intellect and more than anything else, great guts to voice her opinion! What’s more, she isn’t among the newcomers who sign up anything and everything in the name of a film. Ask her about her step by step upscale in the tinsel town and she says, “I was offered Tashan by the YRF guys where I was supposed to play a Sita type role opposite Akshay Kumar but I refused.” And the reason she blatantly reveals, “I’d rather begin my innings with an intimate scene with Akshay than play a Sita opposite him!” So what’s kept the leggy lass busy till now? “So far I’m content with the way my career is going. I began with theatre and went onto doing a Kannada film with Southern superstar Ambarish. I have also done many prints ads and a music album with T-Series. But my real claim to fame is my international project The Genius Of Beauty. It’s an outrageous, comedy with lots of gorgeous women written by William Gentry and directed by Aarin Mehta. The film has been in the Cannes this year and was also screened at the Hong Kong film festival. It will be screened at the Korea film festival the next month for which I’m gearing up now.” Talk of the kind of roles she wants and she quips, “Bollywood has had enough of girl-next-doors, I’d want to take up something bold, blunt and challenging!”
