Lava Kusa to floor you this summer .

A A sneak preview of the much awaited 2D film, Lava Kusa, the Warrior Twins, was presented to students of animation courses from various institutes to attract them into the exciting world of animation, on Tuesday.
Noting that Avatar had revolutionised the moviegoers’ experience, thereby opening doors for animation movies in India, the makers of the film explained that Lava Kusa would be released in 200 theatres across the country on June 25. The national release for the film is also to ensure that it is not just multiplex moviegoers but
rural audiences too get a slice of animation films. This movie has been made with a budget of Rs 25 crores. Arena Animation, who are into animation education along with Rayudu Vision Media Ltd, the creators of the movie Lava Kusa, elaborated on the future of animation and its career prospects in the country.
Shravan Cheryala, technical director of this film, said there were offers aplenty in this field. "We need trained manpower, which is not easy to find now. I advise the students to get their fundamentals strong, and have handson training. There are no short-cuts to refinement."
Talking about the making of the film, Tiru, the background-painting supervisor for the film, said, "This film is the work of four years and 450 professionals. The talent required to make this movie was not found in one place and we had to bring them together from different places." Tiru was nominated for the Oscars for his work in the animation film, The Legend of Buddha.
Rajesh, an animation student who watched the preview, said, " The quality of output is really good for Indian standards."
The filmmakers are confident of the film's success in the country, given its story, which many Indians have grown up listening to.
